Ovideo Spanish Mauser Sporter
M1916 7.62x51 (.308 win)
Originally designed to replace the M1895 Spanish Mauser, the M1916 was carefully constructed to be a short carbine. After WWII, many M1916 rifles were converted in the 1950s to fire the 7.62X51 NATO cartridge (.308 Winchester) for use in modern conflicts. This rifle has an aftermarket sporting " Montecarlo" style stock and it's sights replaced aftermarket. It was imported by SAMCo of Miami and is Import marked under the barrel.
