The KAC M4 RAS (Rail Adapter System) was designed for the US military’s M4 Carbine and has become one of the most battle-tested rail systems for the AR-15 platform, with over 1 million units issued. This non-free float handguard is a straightforward, drop-in upgrade that features authentic Mil-Spec M1913 Picatinny Rails along its entire length. Unlike other 2-piece quad rails, the M4 RAS securely locks to the rifle’s barrel nut using a clamp and screw system, providing a stable foundation for tactical accessories. It also includes three KAC 11 Rib Rail Panels.

Rifle Requirements: The M4 RAS is a direct replacement for standard, 2-piece polymer M4-type handguards. The rifle must have a carbine-length gas system, delta ring assembly, fixed front sight/gas block, and a round handguard end cap. It works best with lighter barrel profiles such as M4 or Government contours; heavier barrels may require modifications inside the rail. Compatible only with AR-15/SR-15 based platforms and not with SR-25 variants. Installation instructions are included.
